Laura Wohlfort, M.Ed., LPCC
As a school counselor and LPCC I bring over 10 years of experience working with children and adolescents. My career began in the classroom as an elementary school teacher, where I quickly recognized the growing mental health needs of young people. This realization led me to pursue my master’s degree in counseling so I could more directly support students’ emotional and psychological well-being.
Over the past five years, I have worked closely with high school students, helping them navigate trauma, anxiety, depression, academic stress, family challenges, and the many pressures that come with adolescence. I understand how overwhelming these years can feel and strive to create a safe, supportive environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered. In private practice, I am excited to offer more individualized, one-on-one support through a person-centered lens.
I believe each person is the expert of their own story, and I am committed to walking alongside them as they build resilience, develop coping skills, and more toward meaningful growth and lasting change.
